Beverly Hills Teak Restoration for Estate Patios and Pool Terraces

Beverly Hills is really two different climates stacked on top of each other. Down in the Flats, along the wide lots of Rexford, Roxbury, and Elm, teak patio furniture sits under mature ficus and jacaranda canopy that keeps direct sun in check for much of the day. Up in Trousdale Estates and the canyon roads above Sunset, that shade disappears and teak takes a much harder dose of unfiltered California sun.

Because Beverly Hills is inland of the immediate coast, salt exposure isn't the driver of wear that it is in Malibu or Santa Monica. Instead, we see teak furniture here suffering mostly from heat-cycling and dryness — pool decks and outdoor dining tables that bake all afternoon and then cool quickly once the sun drops behind the hills.

Many of the estates we work on have pool and cabana areas built around teak loungers and daybeds that see daily use, plus chlorine splash that dulls the finish faster than plain sun exposure alone. We treat these pieces differently than a shaded teak bench tucked against a garden wall.

The city's older Flats homes, some dating to the 1920s and 1930s, often still have original or long-owned teak furniture that's been refinished multiple times over the decades, while newer construction in the hillside neighborhoods tends to feature larger built-in teak elements integrated into outdoor kitchens and cabana structures.
